Every Environment and every Volume writes to Aquanode-managed object storage. It is S3-backed and provisioned for you, so there is nothing to configure and no storage provider to connect.
What you get
- Setup: none. Aquanode provisions and manages the storage for you.
- Isolation: an Environment and a Volume each get their own storage location and their own credentials. Sharing an Environment cannot reach a Volume's data unless you explicitly include files; by default the share's key is scoped to the Environment's own location and nothing else.
- Use when: you want your pod's data to survive a Stop, a Move, or a provider losing the machine, without configuring storage yourself.
Captures are incremental, so a repeated save of the same pod only moves what changed.
